Defence Ministry signs contract worth Rs 1,207.5 cr with Cochin Shipyard for Short Refit and Dry Docking of INS Vikramaditya

The Ministry of Defence has contracted Cochin Shipyard for Rs 1,207.5 crore to undertake a five-month Short Refit and Dry Docking (SRDD) of the INS Vikramaditya, an Indian Aircraft Carrier commissioned in November 2013. The refit will enhance the carrier's combat capabilities before rejoining the Navy's active fleet.

The Ministry of Defence on Saturday signed a contract worth Rs 1,207.5 crore with Cochin Shipyard for Short Refit and Dry Docking (SRDD) of INS Vikramaditya for a duration of five months. INS Vikramaditya is an Indian Aircraft Carrier commissioned in the Indian Navy in November 2013.
