Lorraine Kelly has been "locked out" of her ITV studio ahead of her show airing, as two replacements stepped in to fill her shoes. On Good Morning Britain this morning, host Susanna Reid explained that Lorraine's self-named show had been "taken over", as the Scottish host marked 40 years on air. The ITV show cut to Ranvir Singh and Christine Lampard in Lorraine's studio, as Christine said: "That's a nice start.
We are celebrating 40 years of Lorraine Kelly on our screens ahead of tonight's very special documentary." Ranvir explained that the presenter had been "banned" from her own studio, adding: "We've locked Lorraine out of her own studio, she'll get us back for that one day, so we can get everything ready." They teased that there were some "special surprises" in store for her and viewers at home, when they tune in to the show at 9am.
Christine said: "It is all happening behind us, the final little bits are going on right now. We can't reveal anymore just now though." Behind the presenters were large foil balloons in the shape of '40' as cast and crew scurried about transforming the place.
Meanwhile on Instagram , Lorraine posted a clip of her travelling in a car as she admitted that she "didn't have a clue" what was happening. She wrote: "NOT A CLUE what’s on the show today! It’s all a big surprise ahead of my 40 years doing breakfast TV. See you at 9am.
" In the video, she said: "I've not had to do any homework, I don't know who the guests are." She added: "I'm so lucky to do a job that I really love and I can't wait to see what my team have got in store for me." Some of her 561,000 followers flooded her with messages of support and congratulations, with Vanessa Feltz writing: "You have dazzled for 40 splendid years.
Congratulations." Adele Roberts added: "Congratulations Lorraine!" Meanwhile chef Juliet Sear said: " Wow incredible 40 years Lorraine!! Congratulations." This evening, at 9pm, ITV will be airing a tribute to the much-loved presenter and journalist.
