Spokesperson of the National Lottery, Sarah Ruane said: “We are encouraging all of our online players in Kildare to log into their National Lottery accounts today to carefully check their tickets from last night’s draw as one player has officially become a top prize winner. "The online player got their weekend started in style after scooping €500,000 in the EuroMillions Plus draw.

” “For players hoping to still be in with a chance of winning big this weekend, tonight’s Lotto jackpot is set to roll towards an estimated €2.5million. "Tickets can be purchased in-store, through the app or at www.

lottery.ie ahead of the 7.45pm cut-off time for sales this evening.

” Earlier this week, Lotto bosses revealed where two winning EuroMillions Raffle tickets worth €1million each were sold . The lucky tickets for a special draw on November 22 were purchased at The Day-Today store Ongar in Dublin 15, and Nolan’s Garage Londis in Tralee, Co. Kerry .

The National Lottery can confirm that both winners from Kerry and Dublin have made contact. Arrangements are currently being made for them to claim their prizes. The Ongar winner scooped their life-changing share after purchasing their ticket at The Day-Today store in Ongar Village, Dublin 15.

Store owner PJ Delaney was thrilled to hear that his store had sold their largest winning ticket yet. He said: “It was some shock getting the call from the National Lottery - I wasn’t expecting it! "This is the largest win we’ve ever had in store, the highest was a €40,000 scratch card win, so I’m delighted that we can be part of the big celebrations. "The team here will all be thrilled when they hear that we sold a winning ticket.

I hope the winner is delighted and enjoys their huge win." And third generation store owner, Mark Nolan of Nolan’s Garage Londis, Tralee, Co. Kerry , admitted that the news came as a surprise.

He said: “It’s always a great surprise to get a call from the National Lottery to hear that someone who bought a ticket from our store has won such a prize. "In 2013, we sold a winning ticket worth €4million, and there was great excitement around the shop and town, so I can imagine it’ll be the same for the rest of the week. "It’s a great Christmas present for one of our customers, I’m sure they’ll enjoy the celebrations.

"My only regret is that I didn’t buy a ticket myself!”.
