During an exclusive interview with Rodrigo Canelas on the podcast Something Bigger Show, Madhu Chopra opened up about the sentiments that followed the White Tiger actress’ first film contract. Her mother revealed that after Priyanka won Miss World, she received a flurry of film offers that she wasn’t inclined towards taking.

The actress was adamant about going back to her studies and focusing on her academics instead. She said of her daughter, “She had science subjects, she wanted to be a criminal psychologist slash aeronautical engineer.” Expressing that her daughter had other plans for herself ahead of starting her career in acting, Madhu further went on to add, “She wanted to go back to study.



So, the first film she signed, the contract, she had big blobs of tears on that contract.” It wasn’t until Madhu talked some sense into her daughter, advising her to take the opportunity as studies won’t go anywhere. She said, “When she did it, she kind of liked it.
