The body of a young woman found on the Bangabandhu Expressway at Sreenagar upazila in Munshiganj district has been identified as Sahida Begum. The 24-year-old hailed from Mymensingh district, said additional police super (Crimes) of Munshiganj Firoze Kabir. Firoze Kabir said Sahida used to live with her brother at Wari in the capital.
She used to work at a day-care centre. He said the woman could not be identified by fingerprints. However, she was identified based on her mobile phone call list.
It could not be known yet where in Mymensingh district Sahida hailed from. Police are trying to know it. The police official also said they are trying to ascertain who took Sahida to Bangabandhu Expressway at Sreenagar upazila in Mymensingh district.
Earlier at about 8:30am, locals informed police after witnessing the body of a young woman was lying on the expressway at Dogachi Service Lane area. Then police went to the spot and recovered the body. Besides, five casings of bullet were also recovered from near the body.
