Excelsior CorrespondentJAMMU, Apr 18: The Annual Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC), organized by the 1st J&K Girls Battalion NCC Srinagar has commenced today under the aegis of Col SP Tiwari, as the Camp Commandant. The camp will be held from April 17 to 26, at the NCC Training Academy (NTA), Nagrota.About 450 girl cadets from various regions of Jammu & Kashmir are participating in this camp.
The camp provides cadets with a valuable opportunity to train and live together, promoting the core NCC values of discipline, teamwork, camaraderie and community service.Aim of this camp is to select the Srinagar group team for Thal Sainik competition, shooting competition as well as selection of best cadet for RDC 2026 and cultural team for SNIC Srinagar 2025.A comprehensive range of activities is scheduled during the camp which including Drill practice, Rifle firing, Physical Training sessions, Obstacle training, Social service initiatives, Guest lectures on key topics such as Artificial Intelligence & Cyber Security, Practical demonstrations on Fire fighting and Disaster Management and An Educational excursion has also been planned.
On the first day, cadets arrived at the NTA Nagrota and were warmly welcomed at a reception ceremony.
