$2.7 million in illegal cannabis seized near Angel Stadium

More than $2.7 million in illegal cannabis was seized earlier this month at a warehouse near Angel Stadium in Anaheim, officials said on Tuesday, April 29.Authorities uncovered an illegal indoor cultivation and manufacturing operation on South Dupont Drive on April 16, they said, just a few hundred yards from the stadium.

They seized 1,788 pounds of cannabis plants, 413 pounds of processed flower from pot plants, and nearly 99 pounds of cannabis concentrate, authorities said.The Department of Cannabis Control — the California agency that licenses and regulates cannabis businesses — led the operation with support from Anaheim’s Police Department and code-enforcement division.As a safety precaution, the city red-tagged the facility — meaning it can’t be occupied — and shut off the electricity.
