Music lovers are in for a soulful night of storytelling and song as the Traveling Troubadours Songwriters Round makes a stop in Summerville Thursday, May 1. The event, hosted at the Public Works Art Center from 7-9 p.m.
, will feature a trio of acclaimed singer-songwriters: Stephen Clair, Elise Testone and Dan Riley. Set in an intimate, round-style performance format, each artist will share original songs alongside the personal stories that inspired them — promising an evening that blends music, emotion and connection. Clair brings his signature blend of garage rock grit and poetic lyricism to the stage, drawing comparisons to the likes of John Mellencamp and The Velvet Underground.
Testone, a former American Idol finalist, is known for her electrifying performances and genre-crossing style, while Summerville’s own Riley delivers heartfelt Southern storytelling wrapped in folk, rock and soul. Admission is free with a suggested donation of $10-20. Beverages and light snacks will be available.
