Four people were indicted by a grand jury on charges of stealing and redeeming hundreds of Colorado Lottery scratch tickets worth more than $150,000 from stores across the state, the Colorado Attorney General’s Office said Monday.Richard McBee, Adam Pacheco, Tawny McCurry and David Goetken were indicted on suspicion of felony theft after prosecutors say they stole lottery tickets across the state between August 2023 and November 2024.The scheme involved McBee targeting gas stations and convenience stores with only one employee and using an accomplice to lure the clerk away from the counter by purchasing propane tanks, claiming a credit card was stuck in a pump or spilling gas.
