9 Congress workers acquitted in 2013 rioting case

Vadodara: A court here acquitted nine Congress workers in a case of rioting, harming a public servant and damaging property registered at Karelibaug police station here in Feb 2013. The Congress workers had entered the district education officer's (DEO) office during a protest and were accused of abusive behaviour, rioting and damaging property. The persons booked were Sai Dhekhane, Chirag Kadiya, Amit Raj, Amrish Chauhan, Nishant Raval, Dipesh Jain, Jitendra Solanki, Divyesh Patel and Vikram Shah.

They were represented in court by advocate Hitesh Gupta. The court of the additional chief judicial magistrate acquitted them after observing that the prosecution couldn't produce evidence to support the complaint..
