Los Angeles barbecue restaurant Holy Cow is closing its location in Culver City on April 27. The closure was announced in an Instagram post on April 22, which reads, “After more than 10 incredible years serving the Culver City community, we’re embarking on a new journey.” Holy Cow’s original Santa Monica location will remain open.
The first Holy Cow location opened in Santa Monica in 2014, followed by an expansion into Culver City in 2015 . The restaurant took over the former Kimukatsu space at Culver Crossroads when it opened in July 2015. Holy Cow is well-regarded within Los Angeles’s barbecue scene for its meats like Carolina pulled pork, Texas brisket, and beef ribs, served alongside wings, burgers, and classic barbecue sides.
Its closure will be felt by Culver City barbecue fans, though the Santa Monica location isn’t too far away.
