Filipinos joined the world in mourning the death of Pope Francis on April 21, Monday. He was 88 and died of a stroke and irreversible cardiocirculatory collapse.In January 2015, Pope Francis went to the Philippines for a pastoral and state visit, where he held a holy mass at the Rizal Park and flew to Tacloban to visit the survivors of Typhoon Yolanda.Look back on the papal visit of the late Pope Francis in the Philippines in this gallery:

Pope Francis arrived at the Villamor Air Base on January 15, 2015, and had a welcome ceremony at the Malacañan Palace the day after. Pope Francis presided over a mass with bishops, priests, and religious people at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Manila, or the Manila Cathedral. After the mass at the Manila Cathedral, Pope Francis had a meeting with families at the Mall of Asia Arena.
