A presenter best known for A Place in the Sun is said to be in talks to appear on Strictly Come Dancing later this year.

A Place In The Sun favourite is reportedly negotiating to strut his stuff on the dance floor of the next series of Strictly Come Dancing . After a significant health scare that prompted him to revamp his lifestyle, TV personality Craig Rowe is eager to flaunt his newfound fitness. The A Place In The Sun host faced a stark warning when doctors alerted him to the risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes due to his weight.

Heeding their advice, Rowe embarked on a transformative journey, reducing his intake of sweet treats, sugar, and alcohol, while committing to a rigorous routine of exercise six times a week and a nutritious diet. Reflecting on the medical caution he received, Rowe remarked two years prior: "I know firsthand sadly how diabetes can affect you as my late grandad had suffered from diabetes, as had his brothers." He also acknowledged the heightened risk of diabetes among certain demographics, stating: "I've now learnt that diabetes is two to four times more likely to affect Black or Asian people as it does white people.

" Just four months after his initial doctor's visit, Rowe returned for a follow-up to find his blood sugar levels had significantly decreased to 30, within the normal range but still at the upper limit. His efforts had clearly paid off, much to his delight. Looking ahead, Rowe is keen to take his journey to the small screen, hinting that his representative is in discussions with various reality shows.

Speaking to The Sun, he teased: "There's definitely been a little bit of a rumble that I felt from some of them. "We've spoken to Strictly and nothing's happened yet, but talks are very much happening. Obviously, Strictly is the one that is gold standard.

" Craig, who boasts Welsh and Jamaican ancestry, has graced our screens on QVC, Sky Travel, and CBBC during his television career, in addition to his experience working behind the scenes in production at the BBC . Though he moved from Bristol to London in his twenties with his younger sister, Craig maintains a profound connection to his roots. In a 2022 interview with Bristol Live, he shared: "Even though I left Bristol a long time ago, it's still very much part of my life.

" Craig recalled a beautiful weekend spent introducing his significant other to the city's dynamic spirit: "We had a really good weekend, and he really fell in love with the city as well which is brilliant.".
