A14 live updates as road completely shuts due to 'serious' crash causing severe delays

The A14 in Cambridgeshire is closed eastbound this afternoon due to a serious collision. The collision occurred between J23 (Godmanchester) and J24 (Swavesey). It has been reported that the collision involved a car and a motorcycle.

The crash occurred at about 1:20pm this afternoon. Emergency services including Cambridgeshire Police are in attendance. National Highways Traffic Officers are also providing assistance with traffic management.



Due to the nature of the incident, the road is likely to be closed throughout the afternoon to allow for collision investigation works to take place. National Highways said of the incident: "The #A14 in Cambridgeshire is now CLOSED eastbound between J23 (Godmanchester) and J24 (Swavesey) due to a serious collision involving a motorcycle. We're anticipating the closure to be in place for some time.
