A830 reopens fours hours after wildfire breaks out at Lochailort

Emergency services cleared a fire on the A830 at Lochailort at around 9pm on Thursday.

Emergency services were called to the scene near the A830 at Lochailort at around 4.40pm on Thursday. Police Scotland confirmed the road was closed 1.

5 miles on either side of Lochailort and drivers were urged to avoid the area. Trains between Glenfinnan and Lochailort were blocked as a result of the blaze. Traffic Scotland confirmed the road was cleared just after 9pm on Thursday.
