Its Cyber Africa Women initiative, established two years ago, has successfully connected over 500 female professionals in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence fields. The program has gained traction through support from prominent figures including Elisabeth Moreno, former French minister and current Ring Capital chairperson.Africaines In Tech brings to this partnership an extensive network of women technology professionals across Francophone Africa.
The organization has established strong local chapters, including groups in Côte d’Ivoire, Togo and Senegal, creating valuable connections for women in the tech industry.“This collaboration moves us beyond simple gender representation to actual recognition of women’s expertise,” said Andréa Longa, president of Africaines In Tech. Yenataba Kignaman Soro, the forum’s deputy commissioner general, emphasized the partnership’s potential to “significantly strengthen women’s impact in Africa’s cybersecurity and digital ecosystem.
”The upcoming forum will feature specialized programming including skills workshops, networking sessions and discussions on artificial intelligence applications for business. Initiatives like this partnership aim to ensure their contributions receive proper recognition while addressing persistent gender gaps in technical fields. The collaboration reflects a broader continental movement toward more inclusive growth in the digital economy, where diverse perspectives can drive innovation and solve complex challenges.Recent data suggests such efforts are yielding results, with several African nations reporting steady increases in female tech entrepreneurship and leadership roles.
