The Aiken Junior Woman’s Club rolled out the red carpet for their Annual Casino Night Fundraiser, raising both the stakes and the spirits of the community in support of the Grants for Hope Scholarship Program. The event, held in the Hydrangea Hall inside the Anne & Cot Campbell Building at Aiken Senior Life Services, drew a crowd of local supporters, all dressed to impress for a night of high-energy casino games, live entertainment and philanthropic giving. The Grants for Hope Scholarship Program benefits graduating senior girls in Aiken County who are pursuing higher education.

It was created with the goal of providing financial assistance to high-achieving young women who are continuing their education at college "This is our prime event for the year. I love how strangers come together and leave as friends and hopefully community partners," said Arann Hyder, president of the Aiken Junior Woman’s Club. "It means a lot; this is the biggest fundraiser of the year and raising money for the young women of Aiken," said Lauren Newsom, a junior women's club alumni.

Gary Stutts with Holmans USA and Suzzane Hyder with Southeastern, both long-time donors and advocates for girls’ education, " It was amazing, the people, friends and message is everything I love and support." said Returning Guest Niko. In addition to casino games, guests were also treated to a buffet featuring items from Sweet Tooth's Bakery in Aiken, the Joyful Cafe in Windsor and drinks from Tipsy with Toya.

A silent auction was also held. With the success of this year’s event, the Aiken Junior Woman’s Club is already planning next year’s Casino Night. "I really enjoy the fact that the community is coming together for all these young girls, bringing a great night for everyone to enjoy themselves and have a great time," said Craig Hill.

Scholarship applications will be available through Wednesday, April 30. For more information on the Grants for Hope Scholarship Program or to donate, visit aikenjuniors.com.
