From April 7 to 11, students from Sri Lanka, the US, Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands gathered at ANC Education to participate in the 28th edition of NUCARS—an interactive business simulation that challenges participants to manage an automotive retail company in a competitive global market. A Hands-On Global Learning Experience NUCARS immerses students in real-world business scenarios, requiring them to make strategic decisions in finance, marketing, operations, and product development.
Working in international teams, participants analyzed market trends, devised business strategies, and competed against peers—sharpening their cross-cultural teamwork and decision-making skills. Twenty-two ANC students took part, gaining exposure to global business practices and proving their ability to compete alongside international counterparts. From Toyota’s Training Tool to a Worldwide Academic Event Originally developed by Toyota Motor Sales in California for management training, NUCARS was later adopted by Northwood University in the 1990s.
Since then, it has expanded globally, with past editions held in North America, Europe, and Asia. ANC Education, which has partnered with Northwood University since 2004, played a key role in bringing NUCARS to Sri Lanka, reinforcing its commitment to global-standard education..
