Groton Anna B. Gerace died peacefully in her home on April 24th at the age of 97. Anna was born on March 1, 1928 in Ayer, Massachusetts to Albina and Henry Cote.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Perreault and her second husband Diego Gerace. Anna was born and raised in Ayer along with her 6 siblings, Richard Cote, Loretta Dotson, Robert Cote, Henry Cote, Lila Gariepy and Francis Cote who all predeceased her. She raised her three children in Ayer until she later moved to Groton where she and her husband Diego (Dick) raised their combined family.
After their children were grown, she and Dick moved to Ocala, Florida and lived on a horse farm. They later moved to New Smyrna Beach, Florida where they resided until Dick’s passing. Anna then moved back to Massachusetts where she lived out her life at RiverCourt Residence in Groton.
Anna was the Bingo Queen, Best Dressed, and all-around social butterfly of RiverCourt. You could always find her at whatever event was happening, spending little time in her apartment. She was loved and cared for by the amazing staff.
She leaves her 3 children, Donna LeBlanc and her husband Gordon, Anne Loch, Robert Perreault and his wife Leslie, and her 3 stepchildren, Sharron Norman and her husband Dale, Richard Gerace, and Nina Walker. She also was predeceased by 2 grandsons, Luke LeBlanc and Brian Bedard. She leaves her surviving grandchildren, Lauren Pak and her husband Jason, Matthew Perreault, Robert Bedard, and Ryan Norman and his wife Alyson; a granddaughter in law, Chrissy Costa.
She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held in the Anderson Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Rd., Ayer, on Tuesday, April 29, from 9:30-11:00AM.
