After 42 years of serving heaping portions of Italian cuisine to the Bay Area community, Mac's Old House in Antioch has announced it will shut its doors. According to a statement on their social media, the beloved restaurant will cease operations on June 22. Mac's Old House, known for its hearty prime rib and minestrone, has seen its fair share of challenges, including recessions and a pandemic, as shared by Mac's Old House Instagram.

Later, in collaboration with Rick Cook, a former manager at Bertola’s in Oakland, Noe transitioned the space into an eatery reflecting Bertola’s style and recipes while retaining the charm and name of Mac’s Old House. According to a post by SFGATE, Noe and Cook have spent significant parts of their lives dedicated to Mac's, alongside a loyal staff, serving over three million meals to the community.



The current real estate situation suggests potential for new life to be breathed into the establishment. The property on 3100 E. 18th St.

, along with the residential space formerly inhabited by McKinney, is collectively on the market for just over 1.8 million dollars.
