Arundel Castle announces return of International Medieval Jousting Tournament

Arundel Castle’s International Medieval Jousting Tournament returns July 22–27, 2025, with knights, crafts, kids’ battles and family-friendly entertainment.

Arundel Castle has announced the return of the International Medieval Jousting Tournament. The flagship summer event will take place from Tuesday, July 22, to Sunday, July 27, 2025. The six-day tournament, a highlight of the UK's historical events calendar, will see eight champion knights from England, Poland, Portugal, and Australia compete.

Visitors will be able to witness the spectacle of horseback combat as the knights clash with their opponents. The event will also feature a full programme of family-friendly medieval entertainment, including falconry, a fire eater, medieval musicians, and the renowned Arundel Castle 'Kids Battle'.

The living history encampment will offer demonstrations of forging, traditional cooking, leatherwork, and other period skills. Event tickets include access to Arundel Castle's historic interiors, award-winning gardens, and the full tournament arena experience.

There will be a range of food and drink options, including the Knights' Table, the castle café and coffee shop, and the scenic tea terrace. Alternatively, guests may bring their own picnic. " The 2025 competitors in the Arundel Castle International Jousting Tournament include Benedict Green and Mark Caple from England, Krystian Mróz and Radosław Skrzeszewski from Poland, Antonio Peixoto and Jose Bernardes from Portugal, and Luke Binks and Rodney Deaman from Australia. Arundel Castle will also welcome back crowd favourites Nigel Amos as tournament compère and Kyle Dolah-Evans as Marshal of the Field, the head judge and supreme voice of authority.
