The experts will be available for media interviews on topics including: Artificial intelligence (AI) in robotic prostate surgery Metastatic prostate and kidney cancer treatment New developments in tumor immunology and immunotherapy Cedars-Sinai Experts Michael Ahdoot, MD , assistant professor of Urology and medical director of the Academic Urology Practice at Cedars-Sinai, can share research into how genomic changes in prostate cancer cells can predict when the disease is likely to spread to the liver. Timothy Daskivich, MD , assistant professor and director of Urologic Oncology Research for the Department of Urology at Cedars-Sinai, can address the latest advances in prostate cancer treatment and patient care, including the use of natural language processing to evaluate clarity and effectiveness when physicians are explaining treatment risks to their patients.
Stephen Freedland, MD , professor of Urology at Cedars-Sinai and director of the Center for Integrated Research in Cancer and Lifestyle at Cedars-Sinai Cancer , will present results from a reanalysis of the REDUCE study exploring the link between insulin resistance and lower urinary tract symptoms. Maurice Garcia, MD , director of the Transgender Surgery and Health Program and professor of Urology at Cedars-Sinai, can discuss research into improved surgical outcomes. Andre w Hung, MD , vice chair of Academic Development in the Department of Urology at Cedars-Sinai, can discuss artificial intelligence in surgical education.
