Pakistani actor Fawad is all set to make a comeback in Bollywood after 9 years with Vaani Kapoor co-starrer Abir Gulaal . Despite backlash from a certain section of society, fans are excited to see him return to the big screens with a romantic film. Amidst controversies, the actors and makers of the film are currently busy promoting it.
While fans are loving their on-screen chemistry, they recently gave their followers a glimpse into their off-screen camaraderie. She proceeded to upload the live video on her Instagram profile.
Captioned, “Live with #abirgulaal (red heart emoji),” the duo opened up about their experience of working together, since this is their first collaboration. While they were busy singing praises of each other, the actress also jokingly pulled her co-star’s leg. ” Interrupting him, she jokingly piqued, “Mene bahut tolerate kiya Fawad ko.” He pulled her leg back by saying, “Abhi toh main jhuth hi bolunga,” before bursting out laughing. He goes on to express how it was a pleasure working with her as she is a “gem of a person.

He is easy, has no ego, and no hassle. I mean, he is so gifted that I wanna level up..

A post shared by Saregama India (@saregama_official) For those who don’t know, Abir Gulaal marks Fawad’s return to Bollywood after 9 years as there had been a ban on Pakistani actors working in Indian films since 2019, due to political disputes between the two countries. It was in 2023, that the Bombay High Court dismissed a petition that officially sought a ban on Pakistani artists working in India.
He was last seen in Bollywood films Kapoor & Sons (2016) and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016). Directed by Aarti S. Bagdi, Abir Gulaal is produced by Indian Stories and A Richer Lens in association with Aarjay Pictures.
Starring Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor, the film will be released on the big screens on May 9, 2025..
