Baldur’s Gate 3 has come to an end following its final major patch . However, Larian Studios has revealed that they’re working on not one but two new games, but we have a while to wait. Larian Studios are no strangers to an epic RPG, though Baldur’s Gate 3 undeniably shone an intense spotlight onto the developers.
As such, plenty of eager players are looking to the company to see what they can come up with next. Luckily for them, there are two new games on the horizon for Larian, as highlighted by their CEO, Swen Vinckle. Though you’ll have a little while to wait before we know what they are or even get the chance to play them.
Larian Studios CEO confirms two new games are in the works During an interview with GameSpot , Larian CEO Swen Vinckle explained that the company is currently “trying to figure out how to make two games” and are “deep in the trenches working on our next big thing,” as explained by Vinckle, “it’s shaping up quite well actually, but it’s crazy ambitious.” Naturally, when asked about potential release dates or hints towards the games, Vinckle explained that “predicting when those will be finished is hard, and then organizing around that is harder.” However, he did explain that while it’s ambitious and that he won’t give any details on the game itself, “I hope that definitely in five years from now I can tell you about it, to say yeah, this is working out and this is what we’re doing.

Luckily, though, as explained by Vinckle, he hopes that “I can tell you in five years that we’ve cracked it, we’ve figured it out, this is what we’re doing now. Here’s game one, we’re making this completely different thing: Game two.
Then, when game two is ready, we’ve got this entirely different thing that’s going to come. “ Whatever games Larian have in the running, it’s clear they’re going to be huge and incredibly ambitious, just like Baldur’s Gate 3, even if we have a while to wait until we get to dive in..
