For young golfers in the Lowcountry, a trip to the course is about to get a lot more affordable — just $5 per round. Bank of America has launched “Golf with Us,” a nationwide initiative aimed at making golf more accessible for youth ages 6-18 through a partnership with the nonprofit Youth on Course. As part of the program, kids in the Charleston area can sign up for a free, one-year Youth on Course membership and play rounds for $5 or less at several area courses.

Local participating courses include Charleston Municipal Golf Course, Summerville Country Club, the Golf Club at Pleasant Point, Sergeant Jasper Golf Club and the First Tee – Lowcountry Learning Center. A full list is available at YouthOnCourse.org .

“Through Golf with Us, BofA is showing young people – including many here in the Lowcountry – what is possible in golf, and in life, when they work hard to achieve their goals,” said Mark Munn, Bank of America Charleston-Hilton Head. “By offering new opportunities for Lowcountry kids to play golf here in our backyard, we are empowering kids and creating a positive impact in our community through the transformational power of sports.” The initiative was announced during the 2025 Masters Tournament, where Bank of America serves as Champion Partner.

The program includes access to more than 2,000 courses nationwide and provides a registered handicap index through the USGA’s Golf Handicap Information Network (GHIN), plus learning and development opportunities. Enrollment is open until May 24 at BofA.com/GolfwithUs .

“Golf has the power to shape young lives in incredible ways — not just through the sport itself, but through the friendships, confidence and opportunities it creates,” said Youth on Course CEO Adam Heieck. The initiative also features free clinics with professional golfers, athletes and celebrities in select markets throughout the year. Bank of America’s partnership with Youth on Course is part of a broader strategy to invest in sports as a pathway to education, community engagement and personal growth.
