Bengaluru Zero Shadow Day: Bengaluru will witness a rare celestial event called Zero Shadow Day on April 24 at 12:17 PM, when upright objects like poles or people will not cast visible shadows. Scientists from the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) confirmed this occurs as the sun passes directly overhead. The phenomenon takes place when the sun reaches the zenith—its highest point in the sky—causing shadows to fall exactly beneath objects, making them nearly invisible.
