The Cowboys still need help at WR, RB, and CB, to name a few positions. Thankfully, some of the best are still available in Rounds 2 and 3.

Ready to do it all again...

twice?Rounds 2 and 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft will kick off Friday night from outside Lambeau Field in Green Bay, with 70 more college prospects set to hear their name called and join the professional ranks. And there are some gems to be found, players that for one reason or another slipped through the cracks of the opening night's picks. Historically, the Cowboys have found their share of stars on Day 2 in recent years.

Trevon Diggs, DeMarcus Lawrence, and Sean Lee were all second-round selections, as were Hall of Famers Larry Allen and Mel Renfro and Ring of Honor member Darren Woodson. In the third round, Dallas has landed notables like Charlie Waters, Harvey Martin, Mark Stepnoski, Erik Williams, and Jason Witten. The team certainly hopes their selections this Friday night go on to enjoy careers that are half as legendary as those past players, but of more immediate concern will be filling a few gaping holes on the 2025 roster.

Round 1 wrapped up with the Cowboys addressing neither wide receiver nor running back, two of the most pressing needs heading into the new season.Thankfully, Day 2 has several of this year's top prospects at both those positions still waiting for a phone call, along with some of the best cornerbacks, edge rushers, safeties, and tight ends of the current draft class. Any one of them could find a home in Dallas.

.. and many of them have already met with the team throughout the pre-draft process.
