When my husband’s expensive racing bike was stolen last year, we were in no doubt it was to order. This was no opportunistic crime. From a locked shed, with the second (lesser value) bike and everything else left behind, it was taken in the middle of the night, over a high, secured, gate.
Two people at least would have been needed. He had likely been followed home and the theft planned. That, of course, is worrying for all sorts of reasons.
