Controversy’s favorite pick, Shantanu Deshpande, unwittingly stays in the news with contentious hot takes on virtually everything under the sun. The Bombay Shaving Company’s founder and CEO, in his latest podcast demystifying real estate with Ajitesh Korpulu, delved into one of the more popular debates since the dawn of rental residences - to buy or rent a home? While Hyderabad-based real estate magnate Koruplu argued for own home, Deshpande favored renting a house over buying one. Koruplu argued that paying EMIs instead of monthly rentals ultimately creates an asset over time.
