Arthur Ray Bowman Arthur Ray Bowman, 76, passed away on December 20, 2024, in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Born on November 20, 1948, in Metalton, Arkansas, Art lived a life marked by service, creativity, patience, and a gentle heart. At a young age, his family moved to Oregon for better educational opportunities, where he graduated from high school in Milton-Freewater.
Right after high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and served two tours in Vietnam.
During his first tour, he was stationed aboard the U.S.S.
Enterprise; for his second tour, he was in-country with the Flying Black Ponies Squadron in the Mekong Delta. Though embattled with health problems from the war, he remained in contact with some of his military "brothers" for the rest of his life.
