Another dramatic chapter in the Lachlan Galvin saga has been added with the playmaker’s management reportedly sending the Wests Tigers a legal letter which alleges Galvin has been bullied by the club. According to Code Sports, Galvin’s team believes their client has not been provided with a safe work environment since the news dropped last Monday that the 19-year-old won’t sign an extension with the club. Emotions have run high since Galvin’s decision was made public with teammates Jarome Luai and Sunia Turuva posting subtle digs at the young gun on social media.

Tigers coach Benji Marshall made the decision to drop the in-form Galvin for the Easter Monday clash due to the firestorm that engulfed the past week. “I said to Lachie to go back to reserve grade and play his best footy and earn some trust and respect back,” Marshall said. “I thought it was the best thing for the team this week (to drop Galvin).
” Marshall as well as Luai and co-captain Api Koroisau all denied that Galvin had been “bullied” when they fronted the media last Thursday, with the coach stating the club “doesn’t stand” for it. “I don’t think he’s being bullied by the other players,” Marshall said. “Emotional responses to things happening might seem like it but there’s been no sense of bullying at our and we don’t stand for bullying.
“I talked to the team about it this morning. That’s not us, OK? We’re not bullies, our players are not bullies. They had an emotional reaction to one of their teammates, but it’s not bullying.
” MORE TO COME.
