The first live semi-final of ITV's Britain's Got Talent has taken place with a new twist and it but not all fans were happy with the result

Britain's Got Talent fans were left disgruntled following the announcement of the winner of the first live semi-final on Saturday, April 26. Overall, the show proved eventful with hosts Ant and Dec announcing that one contestant, Teddy Magic, would not be performing and a technical blunder caused another act to take to the stage later than planned. And at the end of the night when it was announced that Scottish singer Vinnie McKee had received the highest number of audience votes, earning him a place in the final, not all viewers were happy with some calling it a "fix".

Vinnie beat Linda Mudzenda and Eden Choi, who took second and third places respectively, while dance troupe The Blackouts received the coveted golden buzzer from Amanda Holden , securing their spot straight through to the grand final. Vinnie appeared gobsmacked to have won telling Ant and Dec: "This is mad, this is crazy!" And viewers were quick to take to social media to issue their complaints with many believing that Linda should have won. One posted on X: " Fixed.

Sick of the boring singers." A second added: "Swear this is fixed." While a third viewer commented: "This show is so fixed.

" Another person said: "It's all fixed, why would the royal family want to see another singer." And: "Best two acts of the night going home. What a load of old s***.

Left with two singers. Yawn. Might as well be XFactor.

" But others were pleased with the result with one fan posting: "Wow what a great first semi final all acts were brilliant I’m so happy that Vinnie and the blackouts got into the final they both deserved it can’t wait to see what semi final 2 will bring next week." The results came after an eventful evening which saw the show halted by Ant and dec for a worrying announcement. After the show was opened by dinosaur rockers Heavysaurus, the hosts explained that the second act, Teddy Magic, "wasn't ready" to perform.

Instead, they spoke to the judges about the previous act. "Now, Teddy isn't quite ready backstage yet. He hasn't got his magic up and ready yet, so we'll chat to you judges," Ant said, while Dec shared that they were going to have a "little change of plan".

"Just while he gets himself ready and composed backstage," Ant added. A shocked Simon then enquired: "Hang on, so the act's not ready? It's okay, it's live," with Ant quipping: "And he's only eight years old, so back off, man!" After having a chat with the judges, Dec explained that they would be moving onto the third act, Vinnie McKee, instead, saying: "We're gonna have a little change of plan now. We're going to go to something else and come back to Teddy later on.

" But later in the show, the hosts confirmed Teddy Magic would not be appearing that night after all and he would instead perform again later in the series. Britain's Got Talent is on ITV1 on Saturdays and on ITVX.
