Browns' Shedeur Sanders has a Canada football future if he wants it after NFL Draft slide

Shedeur Sanders is in the NFL. It may not have happened how he wanted, falling all the way to the fifth round before the Cleveland Browns selected him in the draft on Saturday. But he's in the league, just like he always envisioned.

There's another path for Sanders, though, if he wants it: Canada. The Toronto Argonauts added Sanders to their negotiation list on Monday, according to TSN Canada's Dave Naylor . This is a procedural move by the Argonauts.

If Sanders decided he wanted to go to the Canadian Football League, Toronto would have the first chance to sign him. TSN explains the situation like this: "Sanders has made no indication he is interested in playing in the CFL, but the Argonauts' decision opens the door." Sanders wouldn't be the first Browns QB draft pick to end up in the CFL.

After two failed seasons in the NFL, Johnny Manziel joined the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. A journey north is probably well off of Sanders' radar. He'd more likely be traded or signed after a cut by another NFL team.

S. television audiences. But don't count on it.

The Argonauts are just putting themselves in position in case there's a wild shift, even more wild than Sanders' draft free fall.
