Y. -- The renovated Grant City McDonald’s fast food restaurant located at the intersection of Hylan Boulevard and Midland Avenue opened on January 13, 2020, following several months of work. The updated McDonald's restaurant on Hylan Boulevard and Midland Avenue features a more modern, sleek design with digital kiosks.

It is till the McDonalds Restaurant, as an updated version. New York City Municipal Archives Quite a change from the original built in 1974. Both the exterior and the interior dining area of the Midland Beach McDonald’s has undergone a complete transformation.

The restaurant has moved away from its old molded plastic tables, fake brick walls, linoleum floors, and swivel seats to adopt a more modern design featuring cleaner lines and updated technology, including menu order kiosks. This renovation has given the restaurant an entirely new look. Additionally, the personal styles of the patrons have changed significantly.

It appears that many students from the intermediate school across the street still frequent the establishment. McDonald's at Hylan Boulevard and Midland Avenue is closed for business do to the flooding on the corner. 10/30/12 (Advance/SILive.
