During the installation ceremony of MPS’ 47th executive committee last weekend, Ting highlighted Miri’s pride in being home to two Unesco World Heritage Sites, namely Mulu National Park and Niah National Park.“These are powerful assets that underscore the division’s unique charm and tourism potential. I hope everyone in the society with their photography skills work together and use photography as a medium to share the stunning scenery of Sarawak and Miri with the world.

“In fact, MPS has successfully elevated Miri to a higher platform by organising photography competitions and exhibitions—not only showcasing Miri’s beautiful landscapes, but documenting the city’s development through their lens.“With that, I thank MPS’ past leadership for their efforts and contributions, which have driven the society’s continuous growth and progress,” he said. The new office bearers for the 2025-2026 term are led by new president Lee Pei Pei, who is the first female president to lead the society since its establishment.
