Promoveo Propertyhas submitted plans to create five flats in Victoria Road, Cambridge.
The building is occupied by insurance brokers Alan Boswell Group and estate agents Gray & Toynbee and they will remain unchanged. The flats will be two one-bedroom homes and four two-bedroom homes. There is already a large one bedroom apartment on the second floor.
However this would be changed to turn it into a two-bedroom apartment, adding a sixth flat to the building. The sixth apartment does not form part of the application as it would be done internally. The building is based near the city centre.
It is predominantly a residential area and is close to transport links to get into the centre. The plans state there are “numerous facilities and employment opportunities within easy reach of the site by foot or cycle”. The ground floor of the building will remain the same, while the office space upstairs is proposed to be changed into flats.
The existing windows will be used within the plans. These will ensure “natural daylight” within the homes, which will provide a “high quality design and acceptable living conditions for future residents”. Story Saved You can find this story in My Bookmarks.
