If you're looking to elevate your Sunday dinner, then you'll want to give this carrot recipe a go, as it's leaving people 'speechless'.

Having family or friends over for dinner on a Sunday is the perfect way to round off the week. And if you've ever hosted - or even attended one - you'll know that the sides are often even bigger crowd-pleasers than the main event. Choosing the right vegetables and cooking them to perfection will ensure your guests are satisfied every time.

Carrots are a popular addition to a Sunday roast, but they can be pretty bland and tasteless. But one roast carrot recipe on TikTok is leaving people 'speechless' at how good it is - and you only need a few ingredients. Recipe creator Ciara Breen shared her concoction in a quick video, saying her carrots tasted 'heavenly, buttery and sweet' - making them the perfect addition to your Sunday roast.

They're just baked in the oven, but the secret to their amazing taste lies in how they're prepared beforehand. Making a super easy marinade with just four main ingredients is all you need for the perfect dinner accompaniment. Ciara ensured they will become your 'new obsession', with people in the comments agreeing.

One person, after trying it for themsleves, wrote: "Tasty! I have made them twice now." Here's everything you need to make this recipe . Ingredients 600g carrots 50g butter One tbsp olive oil 55g brown sugar Three garlic cloves 1⁄2 tsp onion powder Pinch of salt & pepper Method Firstly, preheat your oven to 220C.

Slice up your carrots lengthways - this recipe also works with parsnips if you'd prefer these. If they're larger, cut them into quarters too as this will make them easier to cook. Melt the butter in a bowl and mix in the brown sugar gradually.

Then, add in all of the remaining ingredients, and mix the marinade together until everything is well combined. Place the carrots flat on a baking tray and pour the sauce over them, ensuring they're entirely covered, but save some for when they're partially cooked. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes before taking the tray out and tossing them and adding the remaining glaze.

Continue to cook for another 10-20 minutes until fully caramelised, and enjoy..
