Art enthusiasts and families in North Carolina have something to look forward to as the 32nd annual Spring Daze Arts & Crafts Festival prepares to take over Cary's Bond Park. On Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m.
to 5 p.m., Cary will bubble with creativity from over 170 local artists showcasing their work, as reported by Cary News.
The festival, a juried art show, celebrates North Carolina talent with a selection of artists—including eleven from Cary itself.In its latest iteration, Spring Daze isn't just about admiring and buying local artwork. A new addition to the event, the Kid Collectors Market, will allow children between ages 6 to 12 to get in on the fun, picking up artwork pieces for the modest price of five dollars.
“Spring Daze offers a blend of incredible local art, engaging experiences for all ages, and the stunning backdrop of Bond Park; it's truly the ultimate festival experience,” Jenna Kostka, Festivals and Events Supervisor for Cary, enthused in a statement obtained by Cary News.But that's not all—besides the art market, the festival will feature live entertainment spread across three stages, a variety of food options, and an Earth Day Celebration to boot. The Community Cove area will also make a return offering hands-on activities by local nonprofits, ensuring attendees can engage with their community in more ways than one.
Transportation to and from the event has been made convenient, with festival-goers encouraged to opt for eco-friendly travel options. A complimentary bike valet service will be available at the White Oak Creek Greenway festival entrance, and free shuttle buses will run approximately every 20 to 30 minutes, starting at 8:30 a.m.
until 5:30 p.m., with pick-ups at the Town Hall Parking Deck and Green Hope High School.
For those preferring rideshare services, Bond Park’s Cary Senior Center will serve as a safe drop-off point.GoCary isn't taking a backseat during this flurry of festival excitement, still offering fare-free fixed routes, with Route 4 providing direct access to Spring Daze. Parking will be limited at Bond Park itself, but handicap-accessible options will be up for grabs in most lots, and there's even a mobility assistance shuttle for those requiring extra help to get from the parking areas to the festival entrance—another nod to the event's inclusiveness and accessibility..
