The cast of Murder on The Orient Express have visited Brighton’s historic Volk’s Electric Railway. The visit took place shortly after the show's opening night at The Theatre Royal Brighton on April 22. The cast Michael Maloney (Poirot), Bob Barrett (Monsieur Bouc), Jean-Baptiste Fillon (Michel), Christine Kavanagh (Helen Hubbard), Iniki Mariano (Mary Debenham), and Rishi Rian (The Colonel) toured the world’s oldest operating electric railway, learning about its 140 year history.
They explored the visitor centre and viewed Car 4, the oldest running train car in the fleet, built in 1892. The cast aboard the historic Volk’s Electric Railway. The cast arrived in full costume, bringing their characters to life. A Theatre Royal Brighton spokesperson said: “It’s a fantastic way to connect the production with a unique part of Brighton’s history.” Murder on the Orient Express runs at Theatre Royal Brighton until Saturday 26 April.
