Chamber choir on the lookout for new musical director

Philip Redfern has decided to step down from the role with Hadley Court Singers. Now, the Haddington-based group is looking for someone to take on the position later this year. A spokesperson for the chamber choir said: “Philip’s time with us has been an enjoyable seven years of contributing to live music in East Lothian.

“We are now seeking to fill this vacancy in time for the start of our autumn season, commencing September 2025. “Anyone interested in this post can get in touch for more information by emailing “Philip will continue in his role for the current term, which culminates in the performance of one of his favourites, Purcell's Dido and Aeneas in North Berwick's Abbey Church on May 31 at 7.30pm.
