- China is increasing potato exports to Kyrgyzstan in 2025, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of China. The volume of potato import from China is consistently increasing. 4,800 tons were imported in January, over 8,000 tons in February, and more than 21,000 tons in March.
The cost of imported potatoes amounted to $30 million. Supplies of potatoes from China resumed in 2025 for the first time in 7 months. The increase in supplies occurred against the backdrop of rising domestic prices for potatoes in Kyrgyzstan.
