Mark your calendars, food enthusiasts, because Cleveland's downtown Food Truck Series is back in action from May 1 through September 30, bringing a mouth-watering array of over 50 local food vendors and live music to the heart of the city. As reported by WKYC, the annual event will take place every weekday between 11:30 a.m.
and 1:30 p.m., at five distinct downtown locations, from Memorial Monday at Fort Huntington Park to Free Stamp Friday at Willard Park.
In what promises to be a vibrant atmosphere for mingling with the community and sampling an extensive variety of cuisines, Downtown Cleveland Inc.'s President and CEO Michael Deemer described the series as a way to create "an engaging environment in parks and public spaces near office buildings, where people can connect with each other and the city," while supporting efforts like bringing employees back to downtown, recruiting businesses, and welcoming visitors, a sentiment echoed in coverage by both cleveland.com and Cleveland Scene.
Lined up for this year are fan-favorite food trucks like Blasian Fusion, Swensons, and Dr. Hibachi, as well as mission-driven vendors such as Metro45 Café, operated by Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry to train individuals facing workforce barriers, and Executive Grill on the Go, managed by culinary students from Cleveland Metropolitan School District in June. Not just a feast for the taste buds, the event will also feature a side of local culture with live music from various artists and genres.
