The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will continue to bring cloudy skies and thunderstorms over southern Mindanao in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said in a forecast. In its 5 p.m.

weather forecast, the state weather bureau said the affected areas are Caraga, Davao Region, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi. Meanwhile, cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will be observed over eastern Visayas due to the easterlies. These moderate to at times heavy rains may trigger flash floods or landslides.

The ITCZ will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms throughout the rest of Mindanao. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. These severe thunderstorms may cause flash floods or landslides.

State meteorologists also said winds will be light to moderate while coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country. Sunrise in Metro Manila will be 5:38 a.m.
