Nothing has dropped their new CMF Phone 2 Pro today, and from the looks of it, the brand has refined many of the complaints that we had when we reviewed the brand’s earlier phone for the Philippines last year. There are a lot of things to cover, so let’s dive in:The Phone 2 Pro retains the modular charm of its predecessor but swaps the removable back for a sealed design with a universal cover system. You can still snap on new covers or accessories like fisheye lenses or a wallet-stand combo using the signature screws.
A new White sandstone finish adds a premium feel, while rounded edges improve comfort compared to the Phone 1’s sharper frame. The phone has an IP54 rating, With an IP54 rating, up from the IP52 from last year.The phone comes with a bigger 6.
77-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel, a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and streaming. The bezels have been reduced, and CMF has thoughtfully included 2160Hz PWM dimming for eye comfort as well.The biggest upgrade this year are the cameras.
The 50-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.9 aperture lens delivers sharp, vibrant shots, even in low light, thanks to its larger size. There’s now also a 50-megapixel 2x telephoto lens and an 8-megapixel ultrawide, so it’s on par with most of the other phone in its price bracket.
What’s different this year is that the CMF Phone 2 Pro can fit interchangeable lenses, with the phone coming with a fisheye and macro lens to start.Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro (4nm), the Phone 2 Pro offers a 10% CPU and 5% GPU boost over the Phone 1’s chipset. Paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage (expandable to 2TB via microSD).
It’s not a gaming beast, but it gets the job done.There’s a 5000mAh battery on board, and 33W fast charging gets you to 50% in about 20 minutes. Unlike the Phone 1, CMF includes a 33W charger and a transparent TPU case in the box.
The best part is that the phone runs Nothing OS on Android 15, and CMF is promising three OS updates and six years of security patches. 5K and Php 18.8K respectively when directly converted without Philippine taxes and duties. There’s no word yet if this phone is heading to the Philippines, but if it is slated for release, we’re sure that Digital Walker will be carrying it.
