Donald Trump has been dealt another humiliating blow in a matter of days as CNN delivered a dramatic update after 100 days in office.

President Donald Trump has received another crushing blow on CNN after new results revealed he has the “worst approval at 100 days since modern polling began”. On Tuesday (April 28) the Republican leader reached his first 100 days back in the White House after being sworn in in January. But the US president has not kept all of his election promises so far.

He made a series of pledges while on the campaign trail last year, including mass deportations and ending the Russia - Ukraine war on his first day. One of his main vows that attracted voters was to bring down the prices of consumer goods and deliver “the greatest economy in history”. Now, the political leader has faced further scrutiny from Americans across the country following the results of the latest poll on CNN.

On Wednesday (April 29), presenter Rachel Maddows welcomed cheif analysist Harry Enten onto the news programme where he revealed the latest CNN approval statistics over his first 100 days in office. The broadcaster branded his time in office as “the worst this century and all time for a presidency”. He explained: "These numbers are hyorrible, there's no way to sugarcoat this.

Donald Trump now versus where he was 100 days into his first presidency. You don't have to be a mathematical genius. "I looked back at all the polling I possible could, long before I was born.

And Trump's 41 % at 100 days is the worst on record. He has broken his own record for being the worst. The American people do not like what they're seeing at this point from Donald John Trump.

" On screen, he shared the statistics taken from the first 100 days in office for all the presidents who have served since the year 2000. It revealed that Bush had received an approval rate of 62% in 2001, with Obama nudging him out with an approval rate of 63% in 2009. Then Trump’s first term in office brought the statistics down to a 44% approval rating, which improved slightly when Biden took over office in 2021, boosting his results up to 53%.

But during Trump’s second term in office, he has received an approval rating of 41% - the lowest approval rating of the century so far. Marking the embarrassing moment on X – formerly known as Twitter – one user took another jab at Mr Trump online. Sharing a snap of the results from the show, they penned: “ Donald Trump ’s first 100 days in office have been a historical debacle, the worst first 100 days of any president in US history (CNN).

Surprised? Not me.” It didn't take long before viewers flooded to the comments to share their thoughts on the findings online. One user penned: "Not surprised at all" as another echoed: "Tbh I'm shocked it's as high as 41%.

" Meanwhile, one user argued: "Rachel Maddow's return to her weeknight schedule is a reminder of the liberal media's ongoing efforts to discredit President Trump, despite his commitment to making America great again. Stay positive and support our new president! #MAGA.".
