Coca-Cola Amphitheater main sign in place, nears opening day

The welcome signage for Birmingham's new entertainment venue is now in place, as opening day nears. According to a social media post, the Coca-Cola Amphitheatre sign was placed on the building Apr. 18, as work continues to get the facility ready.

The $340 million project is located near the former Carraway Methodist Medical Center site and features more than 9,000 seats. More than 24 events are scheduled for this summer, with the grand opening set for June 22. The latest: Entertainment coverage from WVTM 13.
