Comedian Suzi Ruffell is gearing up for a huge nationwide tour – but she’s stopping off at an unexpected Kent venue first. The award-winning podcaster is set to play theatres all over the country but, before she kicks off the tour in June, she’s ironing out the kinks with a work-in-progress show in Faversham . The new material show will see the 39-year-old try out her jokes on local fans before the first night of her The Juggle tour in Bracknell later this year.

Suzi first started her career as a stand-up in 2008 and got her big break when supporting other comedians such as Josh Widdicombe and Alan Carr on tour. She then appeared on several TV shows, including Mock the Week and 8 Out of 10 Cats, before setting off on her own tour. Suzi, who has a daughter with her wife, Alice, is also known for hosting many successful podcasts, including Like Minded Friends with Bromley -born comic Tom Allen.

The pair have been recording their weekly podcast since 2015 and performed a live version in front of a sold-out audience at Bloomsbury Theatre at Christmas. Suzi also co-hosts Big Kick Energy, a podcast about women’s football that was launched during the 2023 Women's World Cup, alongside Maisie Adam. Suzi Ruffell’s work-in-progress show will be at the Alexander Centre in Faversham on Friday, May 2.

You can book tickets here . The main tour, The Juggle, comes to Canterbury’s Gulbenkian Arts Centre on Saturday, September 20..
