A community centre is inviting people to join them for an afternoon of cream tea and conversation. St Vincent’s Brighton, also known as Tower House, is hosting the event on May 29 in a bid to bring people together. The event will provide an opportunity to meet new people while enjoying a cream tea with bottomless tea, coffee, or squash.
Centre manager at Tower House, Nicki Freeman, said: "We expect the cream tea to be a popular event. "It’s a great way for people to make new friends, reconnect with neighbours, or simply enjoy a delicious home-baked cream tea with good company. "Everyone is welcome – bring a friend or come along solo.
"We promise a warm welcome and great company – and a delicious cream tea." Tower House is part of the St Vincent de Paul Society and hosts regular events and get-togethers, especially for the over 50s. The cream tea afternoon follows the recent successful Easter afternoon tea fundraiser that brought people of all ages together from across the community.
There will be two afternoon sittings for cream tea on May 29, 12.30pm to 1.30pm or 1.
45pm to 2.45pm. The cost is £6.
