A cycling club has celebrated its 20th anniversary this month. Horsham Cycling Club was formed in 2005 by Stewart Forbes and Keith Russell. The club has grown to be one of the largest clubs in southern England, with more than 250 members.

The club celebrated its 20th anniversary with several club rides on Thursday, April 17, 2025, departing from the bandstand in Horsham Park.

(Image: Horsham Cycling) The rides were of varying lengths and speeds but the group met later in the morning, mid-ride, for a congratulatory coffee and snack. Club members met later in the day at The Olive Branch in central Horsham for a celebratory drink and cake.

"All the hard work behind the scenes by all the club officials and committee members since day one has paid off.
" Bob Wall, current club chair, said: "It is a privilege to be involved with such an inclusive club which caters for the needs of a wide range of enthusiastic cyclists. "We are very much looking forward to the next twenty years.".
