Qatar tribune QNA Doha The Coordination Meeting of ICAO Facilitation Team Experts commenced on Saturday, with activities scheduled to continue over two days. The first day of the meeting addressed several topics related to updates on air transport facilitation and ways to enhance communication and coordination among teams working on passenger names data and data protection. The sessions also covered discussions on illegal migration within the framework of principles outlined in Annex 9 (Facilitation), as well as public health standards and recommendations issued by the World Health Organization, with the possibility of integrating them into review programs.
Participants reviewed reports from guidance-focused working groups and explored measures for providing support to victims of aircraft accidents and their families. The meeting also included preparations for the 2025 ICAO Facilitation Conference, which is set to take place in Doha from April 14 to 17. The agenda also includes discussions on the ministerial declaration to be issued on the last day of the conference.
